Daughters of Both Suns is a trauma-informed nonprofit dedicated to empowering women, families, and communities through culturally responsive support, resource navigation, advocacy, and mental health education. While rooted in uplifting Black and Latina women, we welcome and serve individuals and families of all backgrounds throughout Myrtle Beach and beyond.

About the App

The Daughters of Both Suns app is a culturally responsive, trauma-informed mental health and community support platform designed to help individuals and families access resources, support, and pathways to healing.

The app provides a safe and supportive digital space where users can access mental health resources, grounding tools, community-based support, resource navigation, and guidance for connecting with therapy and other essential services. Built with cultural humility, inclusivity, and lived experience at its core, the platform helps reduce barriers to care by offering accessible, judgment-free support that meets people where they are.

Daughters of Both Suns recognizes that mental health and well-being are deeply connected to social, cultural, economic, and systemic realities. While rooted in uplifting and addressing disparities affecting Black and Latina women, the app welcomes and supports individuals and families of all backgrounds. Through education, connection, advocacy, and resource access, users are empowered to prioritize healing, build resilience, and strengthen their overall well-being.
